Q: What is your day rate?

My rates vary depending on the project type and specific requirements of the role. Please contact me for current pricing—I'm confident I can offer you a competitive rate tailored to your needs.

Q: Do you have a package rate with your van??

Yes, I offer package rates for van services, and I’m happy to customize a flat-rate option for your needs. Let me know the details of your request (e.g., distance, duration, or specific requirements), and I’ll provide a tailored quote! The van can be used for crew and camera equipment transport, driven by the producer, which means you can cut the cost of hiring additonal driver.

Q: If we were to ask you to use your vehicle and act as our driver, what would be the terms and rates be?

Absolutely! I'd be happy to - I genuinely enjoy driving, so you can count on me for any distance. If you need additonal support drivers or a large vehicle like Micro Bus, I can arrange that as well. Feel free to ask for more details.

Q: What currency can you take?

Accepted currencies: JPY / USD / EUR
For other currencies, please consult Shin for arrangements. Thank you!

Q: How can we pay you?

You can settle your account by paying in Cash (5% off), Bank wire (invoice) and Credit card (online invoice). Major credit cards are acceptable. FYI: 50% upfront is needed before the project gets started on ground.

Q: Do you have a production vihecle?

Yes! I own a classic Dodge Ram Van Midium that's become quite popular with my clients. Unlike typical cramped Japanese production vans, mine offers:

  • Spacious seating for crews up to 8 people max (5 people comfortably)

  • Ample equipment storage with very spacious and organized space

  • Vintage charm with modern reliability (a conversation starter on every shoot!)

  • Wi-fi with high speed 4G is installed

  • Complimentary items include Cart, Umbrella, Rain jacket

Many international crews especially appreciate the extra room for gear and the ability to move around during transit. It's one less thing to worry about when filming in Japan!

Q: Can we leave our gear in the van overnight?

Yes, Absolutely! Your gear can safely stay in the van overnight. it's parked in a secure area with 24/7 security surveillance, so you can rest assured it will be 100% safe.

Q: Where are you based? Where can you cover?

While I've called Tokyo home for over 20 years, my roots remain in Wakayama and Osaka - the places where I was born and raised. I still make pilgrimages back to my hometown at least twice a year, recharging in Wakayama's breathtaking nature and soaking up Osaka's vibrant urban energy. This dual perspective gives me unique insight into both Japan's fast-paced capital and its culturally rich Kansai region for any kinds of filming production.

Q: What type of project do you work for?

I thrive on diversity in projects, as long as they're within this industry. As a producer, my experience spans globally recognized TV/OTT series, news programs, documentaries, corporate films, YouTube productions, and more. My clientele ranges from major international productions to private clients and KOLs visiting Japan from around the world. You can see examples of my work through my social networks below.
